We have a passion for business

Whether you've started a business, you're wanting to start a business, you want to ignite yourself in your business or you simply want to pivot or change in your business. The Divas are here to help you explore those aspects so that you can overcome the fear and uncertainty that many of us are facing in business right now. Maybe you feel like you can't get your business where you want it to go, or you feel like perhaps you've hit a bit of a wall or even you've got something that you want to bring out to the world, but you're just not quite sure how to do it. These three ladies can help you go from surviving to thriving in your business. After all, three heads are better than one wouldn’t you agree? So first of all, let's just have you get a little more familiar with who they are:

Carol is based in Hawkes Bay too and has a company called Soulpreneurs. Carol works with people on how they most want to feel in their business and life. She’s a certified Happiness Trainer and Business Mindset Coach who can work with you to get your mind where you want it to be and aligned with how you want to feel in your business. She looks at your daily habits such as starting your day in a way that supports your goals and ending your day in a way that sets you up for success, which feeds into the next day. As she says “we all have blocks around various things that stop us from moving forward such as perfectionism, people pleasing, worthiness, boundary issues or imposter syndrome to name a few. I help you see these for what they are and give you strategies to work past them”. Carol believes these blocks create a self imposed prison for ourselves that hinder our development. She loves seeing people firing on all cylinders and breaking down those blocks to experience their own freedom in life. She’s been in business for herself for over 20 years and left the corporate world in Wellington not knowing where it would lead.

Lucy is based in Hawkes Bay and is all about empowering people, especially those who are starting their business and actually really wanting to grow their business. Four years ago, Lucy left her high level marketing position in the corporate world. A lot of people looked at her and thought she was crazy to do so as she was earning great money and had a bright future fulfilling others dreams! Lucy realized she really wanted to go for HER DREAMS and her desires and to do that she needed to empower herself. So she took the plunge and started her own online web design business.  As Lucy says “it’s one of the reasons why we decided to come up with this new group - to empower people to really go for it and step into their passions - especially those that are working towards someone else’s future and not their own”. Lucy’s business is called Create Your Future and being a marketing expert, she helps businesses with their online presence. Lucy starts with their branding, their website, and then works on the whole Marketing and social media strategy.

Jen is based in Te Awamutu, in the green Waikato region of New Zealand and owns a business called Gener8 Leadership Solutions. She’s been a certified leadership and business coach for the last 11 years. What really lights Jen up is helping people to realize their potential because as she says “it's one thing to say that you've got potential, but it's another to actually achieve your potential”. What Jen does is help people to find their potential and then add value and bring the best out in the people and teams that she works with. Jen is a great strategist and is someone you want on your team when you’re looking to make changes or looking to level up your game.

With over 50 years experience the Divas firmly believe there’s a lack of clarity around what people really want in their business and where they're going.  A “hot seat” complimentary coaching session was recently offered to one of the 90 Day Divas community members discussing where she perceived she was stuck.  It was established that she was stuck holding onto some past hurts with a previous business partnership that were keeping her from moving forward. She lacked clarity on what she wanted for her business and for herself. When given the chance to think and reflect on why she was doing that, she realized, "Hey, the past isn't where it's at, it's the future that matters."  We need to use the lessons learned from the past but we don’t need to bring them into the future and keep holding on to them. When we do that, especially around relationships, the other person gets to “rent a space in your head and not pay for it!”.  How many people in your life have you got renting a space in your head that aren't supporting you or aren't lifting you up?  Who is holding you back?  Getting a bit of reflection back to you from a coach can help you to think and see things from a different angle and perspective so you can move in a different direction.  We need to be able to let go and commit fully to the new direction.  Really saying, "Yes, I want to go there and I want to do it." can be so liberating.

However, when we get side-tracked, offered a job that pays more or is a little more convenient this can keep you stuck too.   In the example above of the Divas community member, she started realizing she was spending too much time on other jobs and her business kept coming second.  She had fallen down an “energy well” by working for other people, fulfilling other people’s dreams to the point where she had gotten quite depressed and had no desire to even work on her business.  The Divas gave her clarity on what mattered most to her and so she was able to go away with a plan of action and a clearer direction.

We often hear people saying, "Oh, one day I'll stop working for someone else” ….. “Oh but one day I'll start my business." But they never actually do it because they never fully committed to their business. There's a great analogy - If you want to win the war you need to take the island and you need to burn the boats so you can't come back - so you’ve got to sink or swim.  This type of focus means you’re fully committed.  “It sounds really scary, but you will only really get the success you want if you commit fully, one hundred percent to your business and let go of the safe little island that you've been on”, says Lucy.
